Free mugs and bottles for sustainable travellers

With the weather warming up, Access Lincoln is offering people an extra incentive for considering sustainable transport this May.

Anyone completing an online travel plan with Access Lincoln in May can claim a free travel mug or water bottle.

The free online travel planner at www.accesslincoln.co.uk will explain your options and the benefits you can enjoy by leaving the car at home and using alternative transport.

Simply provide your starting point, destination and time of travel and you’ll be emailed a free personalised plan complete with interactive maps and information on travel times, cost, carbon dioxide emissions and calories burned for all modes of travel.

Having completed your travel plan, you can claim your prize from the Access Lincoln Hub at St Swithins House, 3-5 St Swithins Square, Lincoln LN2 1HA. Simply email accesslincoln@lincolnbig.co.uk or call 01522 581906 to make an appointment.

Alison Mackfall, Access Lincoln project co-ordinator, said: “Whether you’re journeying to work, college or school, or visiting the city for any other reason, our online travel planner can find the best way to get you there.

“Taking the bus, cycling or walking can often be the quickest, easiest and cheapest option for getting where you need to go.

“And it’s not only healthier than being sat in the car – it’s better for the environment too.

“Our travel planner will put together a tailored, step-by-step plan for your journey – and it’s free of charge.

“It also lets you know about the many great offers that are out there, such as the new Access Lincoln bus pass, which could save you even more.

“It will only take you a few minutes, and will likely save you time and money – it’s a win-win.”

Access Lincoln is a Lincolnshire County Council initiative, supported by Lincoln BIG and funded by the Department of Transport.
