Travelling to Hartsholme Country Park by bike is easy and stress-free. If coming from the city centre it’s less than three miles away and will take around 13 minutes on an off-road cycle route.
Cyclists can easily reach Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve and Birchwood Nature Park on foot or by bike from Hartsholme to explore the area further.
Day out at Hartsholme Park
Hartsholme Country Park is a great spot for a Lincoln MicroBreak filled with nature, wildlife and wonder. With walks around the reservoir and wooded trails, a children’s play area and picnic spots - there’s plenty of nature to soak up in a fun and striking setting.
Hartsholme Country Park covers more than 200 acres with its Victorian landscaped gardens, large reservoir, woodlands and grasslands.
The visitor centre regularly has exhibitions and interactive features on the wildlife and history of the park.
From 10.30am on the first Sunday of every month local RSPB members host a free guided walk of the park, including bird watching. Join in and store your bike outside the café.
Cycling within the park is only allowed on the designated cycle paths. Bikes can be secured to the Sheffield Stands outside the cafe if you wish to cycle to the park before continuing your visit on foot.
